In-Motion (Dynamic) Checkweighing

Product moves continuously through the checkweigher on a conveyor section fitted with a weighing platform, with weight captured while the unit is in motion — no stoppage, no line interruption for the weighing step itself.

Best fit: any production line where throughput matters — this is the standard configuration for continuous packaging and filling lines, and is what ENZAC's checkweigher range is built around. Where it falls short: accuracy at very high speed involves a real trade-off — faster line speed generally means slightly wider achievable accuracy tolerance, which is why model and speed selection both affect the accuracy figure, not just the checkweigher's inherent capability.

Static Weighing

Each unit is stopped briefly on a weighing platform, weighed at rest, then released to continue. This eliminates the motion-related accuracy trade-off entirely, since the unit is stationary during the actual measurement.

Best fit: applications where absolute weighing accuracy at the finest tolerance matters more than throughput — very low-volume lines, or products where even the small accuracy trade-off of in-motion weighing isn't acceptable.

Where it falls short: stopping every unit to weigh it caps your achievable line speed in a way that's simply incompatible with most continuous production environments — the throughput cost is usually far larger than the accuracy gain justifies.
