Once mechanism type and film specification are settled against your load profile, the remaining question is what a pallet wrapping system actually costs and what to confirm before ordering.

What Drives Cost

Mechanism type. Turntable systems are the cost-effective baseline; rotary arm systems cost more due to the added complexity of the rotating arm carriage mechanism; stretch hood systems are a different mechanism category again, priced around the film delivery method and coverage requirement.

Pre-stretch capability. Electric-carriage pre-stretch (up to 300%) costs more upfront than a basic mechanical pre-stretch system, but reduces ongoing film consumption meaningfully — this is a total-cost-of-ownership decision, not just an upfront price comparison.

Load capacity. Systems rated toward the upper end of the weight (2,000 kg) and height (2,500mm) range need more robust structure and drive components than lighter-duty configurations.

Control sophistication. PLC control with multiple programmable recipes and auto-trigger integration from a palletizer costs more than a standalone, single-recipe unit, but is what allows the wrapper to function as a seamless step in an automated end-of-line flow rather than a manually-initiated station.

Installation Scope and Timeline

Installation covers structural mounting, film carriage and pre-stretch mechanism commissioning, control system programming (including recipe setup for your actual pallet configurations), and — where integrated with a palletizer — auto-trigger signal commissioning. Ask for a realistic timeline broken into delivery, mechanical installation, control commissioning, and integration testing with your actual loads, not a single lump-sum estimate.

Confirming Throughput and Film Efficiency Hold Up on Your Loads

A pallet wrapping system's rated throughput (30–100 pallets/hour) and film efficiency both depend on mechanism type, pre-stretch capability, and your actual load weight and dimensions — not the headline numbers alone. Confirm your supplier has sized the specific configuration against your actual load profile, and that commissioning includes wrap containment testing on your real product, not just an empty-pallet demonstration.

After-Sales Support to Confirm Before You Sign

ENZAC provides spare parts supply and service and maintenance (including annual maintenance contracts) as ongoing services for the pallet wrapping systems it supplies, and separately for third-party systems of comparable types — plus retrofit and upgrade options where full replacement isn't the right call.

Warranty Terms

Confirm coverage (structure, drive mechanism, control system) versus exclusions (film carriage components under continuous-duty wear), the warranty period, and whether the clock starts at commissioning sign-off or shipment.
